Andrea (m) from ItalyAn avid basketball and soccer player. Very motivated independent student who is the class representative in his school. He is often involved with politics and social issues in his community. He would like to study diplomacy or Jurisprudence when he starts university, hopefully abroad. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 58) Muzdalifa (f) from Tanzania16 year old girl from coastal Tanzania. Her mom is a teacher and dad is an administrator. Her oldest sister is studying public administration while her older brother is studying immigration policy at a university. Described by her teachers as well mannered and cooperative, Muzdalifa is an accomplished student, who one day hopes to study International Relations at University. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 46) Varintorn (f) from ThailandWill be 16 when she arrives and is an only child. She spends a lot of time with her friends and family. Often cooking or playing badminton. She is an avid reader who also is interested in dance and now has a dance troupe. She is a very motivated student and is even the head of her class. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 47) Stefan (m) from AustriaOften reads, listens to music, and surfs the web. His favorite sports are surfing and skiing. In summer he goes swimming and surfing nearly every day and goes sailing and hiking with his family in spring, summer and autumn. His family describes him as very family oriented and takes good care of his little brother. He has a strong personality and wants to create harmony and balance. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 63) Aline (f) from BrazilLikes to read books and Japanese comic books (manga). She plays guitar and keyboard. She really likes to listen to music. Rock, blues, country and reggae are her favorite genres. Aline likes to cook very much and even considers it an option for a career down the road. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 55) Bea (f) from Austria16 yrs of age. Animal lover and favorite hobby is karate, which she has been doing for 7 years and is a blue-belt. Is very helpful and conscientious. Favorite school subjects are history, English and geography. Wants to be a lawyer. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 60) Christian (m) from Germany16 yrs of age. Interested in music, sport (soccer) and other languages and cultures. After graduating high school, wants to study politics and start a career at the German Federal Armed Forces. Likes playing soccer, games, badmintion and table-tennis. Interested in mathematics and plans to study economics and mathematics at a university. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 51) Eleonora (f) from Italy17 yrs of age. Is family oriented, independent and enjoys swimming, volleyball and soccer. Enjoys listening to music, particuarly, pop and 80s music, but also appreciates classical music. Enjoys playing the piano, but says she is not as good as she would like to be. Her friends describe her as a friendly, humorous, helpful, understanding and a well balanced person. Enjoys reading and skiing. Plans to study French and history at a university. Enjoys guitar, badminton, basketball, music, cooking, and photography. Would like to be a graphic designer. (Not a graduate, no allergies, SLEP 51) Pitchaporn (f) from Thailand16 yrs of age. She and her family do many activities together, such as watching movies, riding bicycles, going to the department store, and going to the temple. She likes listening to music and sign along with the song. Enjoys drawing pictures, reading, and sometimes playing badminton.
